When wedding planning begins and you’re looking for the perfect venue, especially in Nashville, there are many incredible options! We are fortunate to live in a great community with many options for couples getting married throughout the city. While planning your wedding, if you and your partner want a smaller one, I’ve got a list of small venues in Nashville, TN that will be perfect for your day. Often, booking a big venue for a smaller wedding can be expensive and unnecessary. While being a Nashville elopement photographer, I’ve become familiar with the different venues throughout the area and have made a list of my faves to make the hunt a little easier.
White Velvet Chapel
Have you always dreamed of getting married in a little white chapel? Enter Nashville’s original white chapel, the White Velvet Chapel. It’s a sweet little spot in Germantown perfect for an intimate wedding if you want that traditional yet vintage vibe. This venue can host up to 20 guests, making it ideal for an elopement with family and close friends. They offer multiple packages based on your needs that are all crazy affordable!
Carriage Lane Inn – Small Wedding Venues in Nashville, TN
Technically located in Murfreesboro, TN, (which is quickly becoming an extension of Nashville!) Carriage Lane Inn is a romantic and quaint spot for your Nashville wedding. This location has multiple on-site properties, making it great for creating a unique vision for your ceremony and reception. Carriage Lane Inn can host up to 150 people and a minimum of 25. The historic charm paired with the beauty of the magnolia-lined garden is unbeatable!
East Nashville Greenhouse
If you’re planning an intimate winter wedding and looking for a unique venue, look no further than East Nashville Greenhouse. Although they’re currently remodeling their venue to welcome more 2025 couples, it’s a beautiful location for any Nashville couple. Stay tuned for more updates about the remodel and when they are ready to welcome visitors again.
The Allée at Percy Warner Park
The Allée is an iconic location in Percy Warner Park. It features limestone stairs from the 1930s and a WWI monument. It’s an excellent location for couples looking to celebrate Nashville’s historic charm while enjoying the perks of an outdoor wedding in the park. I’ve captured a few weddings here and have loved the entire experience at the park – it’s a beautiful spot!
Penthouse at the Fairlane Hotel
One of my favorite venues on my list of small wedding venues in Nashville, TN, has to be the Penthouse at the Fairlane Hotel. It’s located on Union Street in Nashville and is a unique experience, unlike any other venue you’ve seen before. The Penthouse is often reimagined with new decor and set up yearly. The last setup was ‘The Dollhouse,’ furnished with trendy, bright-colored furniture inspired by a summer in Palm Springs.
Local Ark – Small Wedding Venues in Nashville TN
Located just 10 minutes from Franklin, Tennessee, Local Ark is a simple and classic wedding venue perfect for any couple’s dream day. Surrounded by green hills and beautiful scenery, it’s a stunning venue for an elopement or intimate wedding. Local Ark offers two spaces on-site for your wedding. The chapel is perfect for a micro wedding and can host up to 40 guests.
Airbnbs
Don’t ever count out the possibility of getting married at an Airbnb! Often, hosts rent out their homes and allow weddings and events on-site. This makes for accessible travel accommodation while having a beautiful home for an intimate wedding. Please read the descriptions of the Airbnb properties to ensure they allow for on-site events.
Thistle Farms Cafe
Next on my list of small wedding venues in Nashville, TN, is Thistle Farms Cafe. Its warm and inviting interior is a great space for a reception, wedding ceremony, or event. Thistle Farms Cafe can host a private meal for up to 10 and a reception for 100. It’s an incredible space waiting to be booked for your dream Nashville wedding.

The unique design throughout the hotel makes for incredible character and will impress guests! It’s ready to meet your wedding day vision with three different event spaces on-site.
Cheekwood
While weddings here can be both big and small, I love the Cheekwood for any wedding event – including a proposal! Cheekwood is a little more expensive but well worth the price tag. With multiple gardens, viewpoints, and endless opportunities for beautiful photos – it’s one of the top venues in Nashville. Cheekwood can host up to 350 guests throughout the various locations on-site for weddings, including as few as 35. Head to their website for more information on this historic Nashville gem.

This Nashville wedding venue is an incredible mix of Southern charm and pure elegance. Offering indoor and outdoor locations, this all-inclusive venue is a must-see when wedding planning. Riverwood Mansion also welcomes dogs on-site. While this space is known for its big event capacity, it is a charming location for smaller weddings, too!
Estelle
Last but not least, the charming and beautiful Estelle. It’s located just one mile from Downtown Nashville. While the venue has humble historical roots, modern updates have brought it back to life and welcomed many couples to say, ‘I do’ on-site. There are a few different spaces for your perfect ceremony space.
