After all the holiday engagements, it’s time to start planning your upcoming engagement sessions! Ali and Russell’s spring Nashville engagement photos were an absolute blast. Whenever I get the chance to get outside and explore with my couples, we’re in for a good time, especially during the spring when all the flowers are beginning to poke out from their winter hibernation. These two were full of joy and laughter during our time together, which always makes the photos *chef’s kiss*, perfection. If you’re considering planning engagements for the spring, consider this your sign to do it!

A Beautiful Day For Engagement Photos
Ali and Russell’s engagement photos ideally mix city meets and outdoor adventure. Russell wore a button-down shirt and dress pants, while Ali wore a simple white embroidered dress. Their outfits complemented the location perfectly, and they looked so good together! I love it when couples incorporate white, especially the bride, into their attire. It’s a simple nod to their upcoming wedding. Who doesn’t want to wear all the ‘bridal’ things? Their outfits were the perfect match for their spring Nashville engagement photos.
Throughout our time together, Russell and Ali held hands, walked through the park, laughed, and shared their excitement for their future together. We even found some blossoming flowers, which was a fun addition to their photos! Engagements are a great way to celebrate your engagement while enjoying this short time together.

What to Wear for Spring Engagement Photos
If you’re looking for inspiration or direction for planning your spring engagement photo outfits, I’ve got a few tips to share. First, consider the location and what colors can be found there. If you’re going to a flower garden for your photos, consider wearing clothing to accent the flowers, avoiding a pattern. If you’re in a location with lots going on and wear a pattern, it can be a bit too much in photos. Another tip is to wear a dress or skirt. It will photograph well and add movement to the images, which is always fun! Lastly, make sure whatever you wear allows you to feel confident and photo-ready. There’s nothing worse than wearing a new outfit and feeling uncomfortable and nervous. Be yourself and have fun with it.
