As a destination wedding photographer, there are certain places I frequently visit. Minnesota is one of them! Minnesota is one of my favorite places because of its versatility and incredible scenery, and we have family there. When my husband, Daniel’s brother proposed to Mary, we were so excited for the pair and couldn’t wait to celebrate them. Their romantic Minnesota wedding was a beautiful day celebrating an incredible couple. These two are so perfect together, and it shows throughout their day. Our couple’s attention to detail and intentions were apparent throughout the day as they prioritized being in the moment and spending time with family.
Their Love Story
Mary and Brian met on a dating app and immediately hit it off! I took their first anniversary photos and we had a blast together. Later, Brian proposed on a cruise. Mary was happy, and both were so excited to begin planning the wedding! She is perfect for Brian, with a shared fun-loving personality. Mary and I became quick friends as we share a similar love for reading! We’ve been able to connect through books and I’ve loved it!
Throughout their engagement photos were moments of pure happiness and joy. They traveled down to Nashville for them and we even took some fun pictures at Hattie B’s. When they asked if I would photograph their upcoming romantic Minnesota wedding, I was flattered and couldn’t say yes fast enough!
An Intimate and Romantic Minnesota Wedding Day
Our couple was supported by close friends and family throughout their romantic Minnesota wedding day. The whole wedding day was laid-back, making everything enjoyable for guests and our couple alike. Mary and Brian planned for a private first look, which was memorable and filled with emotion. After their Catholic wedding, our couple’s guests join them at O’Shaughnessy Distilling for a relaxing reception. While relaxing isn’t a word I would normally use to describe a wedding, Mary and Brian’s day was just that. So chill!!
The reception was a great experience, with no assigned seating or formal tables. Mary and Brian’s planning and execution allowed guests to feel welcome and mingle freely throughout the night. Mary and Brian also kept events minimal, with no traditional exit and only a couple of special speeches. The maid of honor gave Brian an ’emergency kit’ for the bride, which was hilarious and so cute. Both of their fathers gave speeches, which brought the whole event together.
It was an absolute honor to celebrate Mary and Brian as their sister-in-law and as their destination wedding photographer. Congratulations to the couple, and here’s to our next adventure together!
