I’m always up for adventure and travel, hence me being a Nashville elopement photographer. Throughout relationships, there are a few milestone moments. When you meet, when you enter a relationship, and when you get engaged. We’re talking about one of those milestones today, the proposal! I’m sharing my top 5 places to propose in Nashville. If you’re planning the proposal and looking for some assistance, I’d be thrilled to help – reach out today! Let’s talk about top proposal spots in Nashville.
Centennial Park
First, let’s talk about Centennial Park. Located on West End and 25th Avenue North, it’s a beautiful oasis perfect for a Nashville proposal. One of the most notable attractions, is the Parthenon. It’s the only full scale replica in the world, and the perfect proposal spot! While in Centennial Park you can take a stroll through the mile long walking trail, pack a picnic lunch, or even just take the dogs out for fun in the park. Not only is this park a huge location with over 130 acres of property, but there’s tons of space for your dream proposal. Throughout the park you can find, Lake Watauga, the Centennial Art Center, historical monuments, an arts activity center, a beautiful sunken garden, a band shell, an events shelter, sand volleyball courts, and so much more.
Cumberland River Park
Next, Cumberland River Park. This park is so beautiful, well kept, and a part of Nashville’s riverfront. Cumberland River Park is a family friendly, and filled with incredible architectural elements that will be incredible for proposal photos! At night the view of the city scape is breathtaking and will make for a once in lifetime moment. Go out to dinner, take a stroll through the Explorer Trail before popping the question!
War Memorial – Places to Propose in Nashville
If you’re looking for something that encompasses Nashville and is in the heart of it all, insert the War Memorial. The War Memorial is one of my top places to propose in Nashville based on its location in downtown, but also the history, and versatility. It’s located across the street from the state capitol and won an award for its architecture when it was built. If you’re looking for a spot that is full of rich history supporting a great cause with breathtaking scenery, this is it.
Cheekwood Estate & Gardens
Next, Cheekwood Estate & Gardens is the perfect proposal spot for the couple looking for a luxurious and intimate experience. They charge a fee that costs $350 and comes with two general admission tickets for the couple, and two tickets for the photographer. Plus a dual membership to Cheekwood, two branded champagne flutes, and a small bottle of champagne to celebrate! They are open for proposals from Tuesday to Friday from 9 am to 3 pm. If you’re looking to have a photographer to capture it all, book one ahead of time as the Cheekwood doesn’t offer an on-site photographer.
Percy Warner Park Stairs – Top Places to Propose in Nashville
Last but not least, Percy Warner Park. If you’re looking for a show-stopping public proposal spot, this is it. The stairs at Percy Warner Park are the most well known and beautiful spots in the park for any photos. In the spring the greenery throughout the park is incredible, and being one of the largest parks in Nashville over 3,000 acres – it’s breathtaking. Apple Maps may tell you that the Park is closed, but it’s open! As a Nashville photographer this is always one of my top choices for places to propose in Nashville.
