As the year continues on, one thing that I love as a Nashville elopement photographer – the changing of seasons. With seasons changing, colors evolve and make for the most beautiful moments while capturing unique love stories. Throughout this blog I’m sharing some inspiration for your summer engagement outfit. Now I’m sharing some of my favorites with you!

Simple and Neutral

First, let’s talk colors. As the seasons change we have to keep in mind certain colors to avoid, especially when taking photos outdoors. For example in the fall, we don’t want to wear bright yellows and reds as those can blend in with the leaves of trees. In the summer months I love a simple or neutral colored outfit. During this season colors are warm and green, simple outfits with a subdue pattern or neutral colors are a great way to stand out in your summer engagement outfit during photos. Some colors I love during the summer months are muted peach, cream, blues, and mauve.

Elegant Flowy Dresses for Your Summer Engagement Outfit

Throughout the summer as temperatures rise, I always suggest dresses to my couples. They are a great way to get encourage movement during sessions, and will keep you cool! Flowy gowns are a great way to dress up your engagement session while still staying comfortable. Your summer engagement outfit shouldn’t make you feel uncomfortable, and wearing a dress should help keep you comfortable and cool.
