It’s engagement season friends! Not only is it the perfect time of year for a proposal to take place, surrounded by family for the holidays. It’s just so magical being in the winter. If you are recently engaged, congratulations! I’m sure you’re overwhelmed by all things wedding planning, and that’s normal. Let’s talk about something exciting, engagement photos! As a Nashville elopement photographer, I work with couples planning their unique wedding experience to celebrate their love. Maybe your love story includes some fur-babies – let’s include them too! Throughout the blog I’ll share my top dog-friendly Nashville engagement photo locations.
Centennial Park
One of my all-time favorite spots and number one suggestions for anyone visiting Nashville is Centennial Park. Located on the West End and 25th Avenue North, this park hits the top of my list for dog-friendly Nashville engagement photo locations. With over 100 acres of total park area, walking trails, the Parthenon, and even a designated dog park – it’s perfect. We can explore the park with your pet giving you tons of variety in photos and make sure you have a good time!
Marathon Motor Works
Another great spot for your outdoor engagement photos – Marathon Motor Works! Found in the heart of downtown Nashville, and is filled with incredibly rich history. While it may seem like any other building in downtown, Marathon Motor Works has so many incredible things to offer. While exploring the area, take a look at the winery, photography studios, shops or even the music recording studios, they’ve got a little bit of everything. Throughout the location you’ll find a four block complex encased in stunning red brick, making it a fun engagement photo location. Marathon Motor Works is also a great area to bring your pups to walk around and explore.
Bicentennial Park – Top Dog-Friendly Nashville Engagement Photo Locations
Last on my list, is Bicentennial Park. In Nashville, we are so lucky to have some incredible parks throughout the city, and this is one of them! This park is 11 acres in size and filled with beautiful landscapes for guests to enjoy. Located behind the Capitol in downtown Nashville, and filled with opportunities for guests to learn about Nashville’s rich history. Featuring a 200-foot granite map of the state, a World War II Memorial, a 95-Bell Carillon, a Pathway of History and the Rivers of Tennessee Fountains. It’s incredible! The best part of all, it’s dog-friendly! Bring your pup to play fetch on the lawns or go for a walk throughout the park.
No matter where you choose for your engagement photos in Nashville I know it’ll be beautiful and memorable. Especially if you bring those cute puppies!
