Have you ever met someone, instantly clicking and knowing you were meant to be friends? That was the situation with Rachel and Derek! Rachel and I shared a love of Pokemon, and I knew after meeting it was fate. As a Nashville elopement photographer, I only have so much availability for elopements and when I met these two my books were full. However, things clicked so well and I knew I was meant to photograph their event. Once we made things final, it was time to take their engagements. Their charming Tennessee winery engagement was the perfect celebration of this next chapter in their lives.

The Initial Meet-Up

As a Nashville elopement photographer, I’m always meeting up with strangers in random locations. Before meeting Rachel and Derek, she had sent me an email with a photo of their three cats (which immediately was a point for Rachel). We later met up at my favorite brewery, TailGate, and hit it off. When Rachel and Derek walked in, she was holding a notebook with her favorite Pokemon, Eevee on it. Eevee happens to also be my favorite Pokemon and the rest just fell into place! While talking together I learned they are both nurses and Derek proposed at one of my top places to propose in Nashville – Centennial Park.

A Romantic Tennessee Winery Engagement

Their charming Tennessee winery engagement photos were so sweet and fun. Nashville’s scenery was perfect despite the time of year, it was February and you’d never know! It was pretty empty when we arrived which made for a more unique and intimate setting for their photos. This allowed Rachel and Derek to feel more comfortable and truly enjoy themselves during the process. We had such a blast capturing this special time in their lives and celebrating their love.
